BACK TO WORK: AS WORKERS RETURN TO THE OFFICE, NY WATERWAY CAN GET THEM THERE SAFELY


With recent restorations, more frequent ferries are running from 8 NJ terminals providing service to Wall Street, Brookfield Place and Midtown Manhattan.

 

Open-air decks and fresh-air cabins give riders a safe and comfortable way to get to work.

September 2, 2021 - As many workers across the region restart their commutes and return to the office after Labor Day, NY Waterway is ready. Over the past several months, NY Waterway has stepped up cross-Hudson ferry service with more routes, longer hours of operation and more frequent ferries.

NY Waterway offers spacious terminals, as well as open-air decks and fresh-air cabins on its ferries, making for a safe and comfortable commute. Masks are required inside all terminals, buses and ferry cabins.

“Coming back to the office can be stressful. Getting there shouldn’t be,” said Armand Pohan, President, CEO and Chairman of NY Waterway. “We’ve stepped up service and put in place safety measures so you can get to work and back home safely and comfortably. NY Waterway is ready for your commute.”

NY Waterway now offers weekday Manhattan-bound service from 8 New Jersey terminals:

· Belford/Harbor Way

· Edgewater

· Paulus Hook/Jersey City

· Hoboken/14th Street

· Hoboken NJ TRANSIT Terminal

· Lincoln Harbor/Weehawken

· Port Imperial/Weehawken

· Liberty Harbor/Marvin Blvd

Weekend service also runs from Port Imperial in Weehawken, Hoboken and from Jersey City.

NY Waterway operates 5 NYC bus routes from its Midtown Manhattan terminal extending across the borough, carrying riders from the waterfront to their destinations, free of charge.
