The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County's 'No Show Fall Fest' to Recognize Non-Profit Warriors

(Eastern Bergen County, New Jersey; September 30, 2021) -- Celebrate the new season and participate in The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County's 'No Show Fall Fest' from September 22 through October 27 to honor non-profit warriors serving our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

For this fall fest, supporters do not attend an event in person.  Instead, they celebrate anywhere by making a donation of the amount they would have contributed to an in person event by mail or online.  Supporters also participate in The Chest's online auction, wine pull, and tributes to local nonprofit unsung heroes.

"This year, we celebrate local 'unsung heroes' working continuously to provide services to their client populations during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The 'No Show Fall Fest' offers a unique opportunity for people to bring together friends, families, donors, partners, and volunteers to transform vulnerable residents' lives in eastern Bergen County without attending an actual event.  They can participate in our online auction, wine pull, and/or make a donation directly to The Chest, with one hundred percent of the proceeds helping our neighbors in need," said Dr. Shelly Wimpfheimer, Executive Director, The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County.

Honor an Unsung Hero

The public may honor a nonprofit unsung hero with a gift in the person's name.  The donor makes the gift conveniently on The Chest's 'No Show Fall Fest' website, tinyurl.com/ChestNoShowFallFest, and provides some information about the honoree's work and why they are being honored.  A personalized e-card may also be sent to the honoree informing them the gift was made in their honor.

Silent Auction and Wine Pull

The 'No Show Fall Fest' event features a silent auction featuring a range of unique items to bid upon.  Items available include vacations to exotic destinations, spirits, a rare Magnum of Row 14 2012 Napa Valley red wine, kitchenware, Brett Gardener signer baseball, VIP Nets tickets, Jets tickets, unique jewelry, technology, fashion finds, and other fine products, experiences, and services.  Wine aficionados can join The Chest's wine pull for an opportunity to win a top quality bottle of wine, valued up to $100, for only $25 per 'pull'.  The auction and the wine pull may be accessed at tinyurl.com/ChestNoShowFallFest.
