Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Launches Daisy & Brownie Fall Fun Days to Introduce Girl Scouting to New Members

In-person and Virtual Program to Take Place Across Five Sessions and Will Feature Activities, Crafts, and More

Riverdale, N.J. – November 3, 2021 – Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ), the preeminent leadership development organization for girls in Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Sussex and northern Warren counties announces the launch of Daisy and Brownie Fall Fun Days, an in-person event followed by a virtual activities series for girls grades K-3 who are new to Girl Scouts. The program serves as an introduction for those interested in joining a troop, granting new members the opportunity to both learn about the organization and take part in a series of fun, hands-on activities as part of a Virtual Troop.

Daisy and Brownie Fall Fun Days kick off on November 6, 2021 with a festive in-person family event at GSNNJ’s Lake Rickabear Camp in Kinnelon, N.J. from 12:00-2:00 p.m., where girls and their families are invited to participate in a wide array of outdoor activities. These activities include a Girl Scout-led hike and scavenger hunt, pumpkin decorating, slime making, a campfire sing-along with S’mores, and the distribution of the fun-filled Girl Scout Activity Kit that will be utilized throughout the Fall Fun Days online sessions.

Following the in-person kick-off, the virtual activity series will take place on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. offering the chance for new Daisies and Brownies to attend an exciting lineup of online weekly sessions. Girls can join at any time during the live virtual sessions, all of which offer a unique and engaging experience to each participant.
