“The COVID-19 pandemic has shone a spotlight on the systemic racism rooted in all industries, including in healthcare, that contribute to racial disparities in primary and mental health care for Black communities,” said Giesel Girona-Ussery, IDEA Committee Chair, CarePlus NJ. “Candid conversations around these issues are critically important to addressing racism and the widespread impact it has on all aspects of life for communities of color. We are looking forward to hosting this panel of local experts who can provide invaluable insight and actionable recommendations for enacting tangible change in our communities.”
