Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Announce Seasonal Employment Opportunities at Jockey Hollow and Lake Rickabear Girl Scout Camps


Lifeguards, archery specialists and zip line specialists to receive free training and certification upon hiring

Riverdale, N.J. – May 25, 2022 – Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ), the preeminent leadership development organization for girls, announces it is now hiring seasonal employees for several positions at its two Girl Scout Camps, Lake Rickabear in Kinnelon, N.J., and Jockey Hollow in Mendham, N.J. Girl Scout Camp runs at both locations from July 5 to August 19 and all employees must attend a mandatory staff training during the week of June 27.

Headquartered in Riverdale, N.J. with service centers in Randolph and Paramus, and a resource center in Paterson, Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is dedicated to offering every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls. With over 100 full-time and seasonal employees, the GSNNJ team works together to achieve its mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

The employment opportunities available at Lake Rickabear and Jockey Hollow start at age 16 and up depending on position and are ideally suited for individuals who enjoy working with kids, love the outdoors and are searching for a summer job. Girl Scout Camp offers a fast paced, high-energy environment that is a perfect fit for those looking to grow their experience and have the opportunity to take on a mentorship role.

Available positions at both camps include:

Administrative staff

Counselors

Lifeguards

Nurses and EMTs

Activity specialists (arts and crafts, archery and challenge course/zip line specialists)

Archery specialists, challenge course specialists and lifeguards will all be provided with free training and  certification upon hiring.
