M.A.T. WELLNESS & RESOURCE FAIR ON JUNE 23 – COURTESY OF RECOVERY CENTERS OF AMERICA
FREE Addiction Resources for Those Still Fighting for Their Lives
ISELIN, NJ, June 23 – Medications for Addictions Treatment (MAT) Programs are giving those seeking sobriety a fighting chance to overcome powerful addictions by combining proven medicines with expert counseling and behavioral therapies.
Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved medications like methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol counteract cravings for drugs and alcohol so that patients can focus on achieving recovery and functioning in their everyday lives. With counseling and therapy, MAT programs improve the patient’s chances for a full and sustained recovery from addiction.
But the MAT program is just one piece of the recovery wellness plan. The sobriety journey continues with restoring basic necessities like getting health insurance, testing for infectious diseases and receiving job assistance, which are all being offered at this year’s MAT Health & Wellness Fair.
