NCJW To Host Seminar Offering Tips for Being More Eco-Friendly at Home

Learn simple changes in daily living that help protect against devastating climate events and benefit your and your family's personal health.

BERGENFIELD, NJ (October 19) - The National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section (NCJW BCS), a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action, will host a community education seminar offering tips on how to make your home more eco-friendly. The event titled Timely Topics: Timely Tips for Being Environmentally Responsible at Home, is open to the public and will take place Monday, October 31, 2022 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Emeth, located at 1666 Windsor Rd, Teaneck NJ. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $5 for members and $10 for non- members.

Dr. Judith Green, a biomedical scientist and devoted NCJW BCS member, will give a practical and informative presentation, including "show and tell" products that reduce plastic use; clothes that "green" your wardrobe (names named); healthier laundering; eating that benefits you and the planet; the benefits of electrification, and more. Additionally, Dr. Green will provide tips that help support eco-friendly living while also reducing household expenses.

“Environmental issues affect all of us and we have the responsibility to do what we can to protect and preserve the environment for future generations,” said Lois Katz Brown, a Program Chair of the National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section “Making small changes at home and to our buying behaviors is a great way to start being more eco-friendly and over time can have a big impact. We know the community will be able to easily adopt the tips that Dr. Green provides helping to build a more sustainable planet for all.”
