NY WATERWAY SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS FOR ROCKEFELLER CENTER TREE LIGHTING
On Wednesday, November 30th, NY Waterway will adjust their free Midtown shuttle bus service routes to accommodate street closures near the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting. NY Waterway’s Midtown shuttle buses will bring riders to 7th Avenue, a short walk to Rockefeller Plaza.
The NY Waterway ferries run from Port Imperial Weehawken, Hoboken and Jersey City to Midtown W 39th Street and are a convenient way to reach the tree lighting. Kids under 12 ride free on all NY Waterway ferry routes now through January 1st.
This year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting will feature live performances from 8-10 PM, at Rockefeller Plaza between West 48th & West 51st Streets and Fifth & Sixth Avenues. Plaza crowds typically begin assembling at approximately 6 PM.
NY Waterway Ferries Services Wednesday, November 30:
Free shuttle service from Midtown W 39th Street to 7th Avenue - 6:10AM to 10:50PM
Ferries run normal schedules with last ferry leaving Midtown 10:40 PM to Port Imperial
Kids under 12 can ride on NY Waterway’s ferries for free on all routes now thru Sunday, January 1st, 2023. The ticketing policy for the service is: two children are permitted to ride free per each paying adult rider.
