The Valley Hospital is One of America’s 100 Best for Stroke Care for 6th Year in a Row
RIDGEWOOD, NJ – November 29, 2022 – The Valley Hospital is proud to announce that it is one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care, according to new research released by Healthgrades. This achievement reflects The Valley Hospital’s outstanding clinical outcomes for Stroke Care and puts Valley in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide.
Valley has also once again received the Neuroscience Excellence Award and the Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence Award.
This is the 6th year in a row that Valley has received the America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care Award and the Neuroscience Excellence Award (2018-2023), and this is the 7th year in a row that Valley has received the Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence Award (2017-2023).

Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country to identify the top-performing hospitals for specialty care. This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between America’s 100 Hospitals for Stroke Care and hospitals that did not receive this distinction. From 2019-2021, patients treated at hospitals receiving the America's 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care Award have, on average, a 40.2% lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals that did not receive the award.*
