OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM BERGEN COUNTY EXECUTIVE JIM TEDESCO

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco, III releases the following statement on the passing of Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver:

“It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of the Honorable Sheila Oliver, Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey. Lt. Governor Oliver was the type of type of leader who puts the needs of the people above all else. A trailblazer for social justice, education, and women’s equality, her legacy will live on through the countless lives that she inspired and changed. On behalf of the County of Bergen, I extend my deepest condolences to the Lt. Governor’s family and her loved ones.”
