CareOne Raises $60,000 in Seasonal, Company-Wide Philanthropic Initiative

The large integrated healthcare network successfully executed a first-of-its-kind charitable initiative across multiple states

SEPTEMBER 13, 2023 – FORT LEE, NJ – CareOne, a leading, family-owned senior care provider with more than 60 locations in the U.S., successfully concluded its Summer of Sharing charitable giving program raising $60,000.

Earlier this summer, each building selected a local cause or charity to raise donations for, enabling CareOne to give back to the communities it serves and drive meaningful change.

“Our commitment to compassionate care and our communities is at the heart of everything we do,” said CareOne Chairman and CEO, Daniel E. Straus. “Summer of Sharing has allowed us to extend this commitment to charitable endeavors and directly give back to our communities that have always welcomed us with open arms.”

The 45+ selected charitable organizations support a diverse range of causes, from food banks and children’s hospitals to veterans’ associations and more. Some buildings opted to support specific community needs, such as providing back-to-school supplies or creating a reading garden at a local school.

To boost community engagement, CareOne creatively orchestrated a variety of fundraising initiatives to support their selected causes. Noteworthy examples include the CareOne at Evesham Assisted Living’s back-to-school supply drive, CareOne at Redstone’s Glow Ball golf fundraiser, a car show at CareOne at The Cupola, and CareOne at Newton’s Community Fun Day, among others. The events not only raised funds and collected supplies, but they also garnered attendance from local officials, deepening their connections with their local communities.

To close Summer of Sharing, each CareOne location participated in a company-wide end-of-summer bash where representatives from each selected charity visited the facility for a celebration and presented checks and donations.

“The CareOne difference goes beyond providing healthcare,” said Vice President of Operations, Lisa Rhoads. “This initiative was a success because of our employees. Their dedication, shared purpose and commitment to give back to the communities in which we operate has made a tremendous impact. We cannot thank them enough for their stewardship of this meaningful initiative.”
