Oakland Rehab & Healthcare Welcomes Dr. Saraswati Dayal to Clinical Team
Respected Wound Care Specialist Joins Bergen County, N.J., SNF
OAKLAND, N.J. (May 7, 2024) — Oakland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Bergen County has announced the addition of wound care specialist Saraswati Dayal, MD, FACS, to its clinical team. Located at 20 Breakneck Road in Oakland, the 215-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Dr. Dayal, who is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, possesses an extensive background in wound care. Previously, she served as an attending trauma surgeon and the director of the 3N Surgical Stepdown Unit at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, and as a physician adviser for numerous other hospitals.

Dr. Dayal earned her medical degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., graduating as valedictorian, and completed her residency and fellowship in general surgery/trauma and critical care at University Hospital in Newark, N.J. She is an ATLS director and wound care director at Select Specialty in Rochelle Park and Kindred Hospital in Passaic. “Dr. Dayal is well regarded for her expertise in managing and successfully healing clinically complex wound cases,” added Burgos.
