Rapid Relief Team Supports St. Jude Walk/Run in New Jersey
Local Volunteers Serve Hundreds at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Charity Event
[West Orange, NJ – September 28, 2024] – The Rapid Relief Team (RRT), the charitable arm of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, recently pitched in at the St. Jude Walk/Run, an event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Sixteen local RRT volunteers from across the area provided logistical assistance and served 300 cups of coffee and 750 water bottles to participants and volunteers, furthering the event’s mission to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
"Working with RRT has been a seamless experience," said Chris Mauch, Chief Operating Officer of EW Group, the organizer of the event. "Their professionalism and commitment to supporting our events have been invaluable. Thanks to their efforts, we can focus on what matters most—raising awareness and funds for St. Jude’s life-saving work."
The partnership between RRT and EW Group, an event planning org that has long worked with St. Jude, began in 2023 and has continued to grow. RRT has provided support to EW Group’s charitable events, helping them succeed in their mission to plan large-scale fundraisers for leading causes like St. Jude’s.
"RRT is pleased to support another event for St. Jude and the amazing work they do, leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases," said Russell MacGregor, RRT Team Leader.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is at the forefront of pediatric cancer research and treatment, working to ensure that families never receive a bill for their child’s care. The St. Jude Walk/Run is part of their annual campaign to raise critical funds for ongoing research and treatments.
