Northwestern Mutual Appoints Theresa Calabrese, CLF as a New Managing Director of New York City Office
Notably, this marks the first time a woman has been appointed as a managing director across the Northwestern Mutual New York City territory.
NEW YORK, January 29, 2025 – Northwestern Mutual, a leading financial security company, announced the appointment of Theresa Calabrese as a managing director of Northwestern Mutual Park Avenue, led by Managing Partner Adam Seiden. Theresa will work alongside the firm’s existing Managing Directors to grow and develop talent at the office, which has locations in Manhattan, Farmingdale, NY., Norwalk, CT., and Paramus, NJ.
Leveraging her 16 years of experience in coaching and developing advisory teams, Theresa is well positioned for success. Raised in a family of business owners, Theresa has long aspired to build her own team, and she is eagerly embracing this new entrepreneurial opportunity. Notably, this marks the first time a woman has been appointed as a managing director across the Northwestern Mutual New York City territory.

Originally from New Hampshire, Theresa moved to New York and graduated from Fordham University with a degree Business Administration & Management and a minor in Business Law and Ethics. Theresa is licensed with her New York State Life, Accident and Health license, is registered with her Series 6, 63, and 26 investment registrations. She was the founder of her firm’s Diversity and Inclusion council and an alumnus of the Northwestern Mutual Women’s Leadership Program (WLP). She has earned her Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) designation through The American College, and she is a Certified Financial Services Coach through Clientwise, LCC. Theresa, her husband Danny, and their daughter Elizabeth currently reside in Long Island, NY and they enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and playing with their English bulldog named Olive.
