Valley’s Serve. Care. Transform Campaign Raises $145 Million to Support New Hospital in Paramus

PARAMUS, NJ, April 11, 2025 – The Valley Hospital Foundation recently celebrated the success of its comprehensive capital campaign, Serve. Care. Transform: The Next Chapter of The Valley Hospital, which raised more than $145 million toward the construction of The Valley Hospital, located in Paramus, New Jersey. The largest in Valley’s history, the campaign exceeded its goal by more than $20 million.

The campaign, which ran from 2021 to 2024, was enriched by generous community support and donations of all sizes from more than 15,000 donors, including more than 37 gifts over $1 million.

“The success of the Serve. Care. Transform. campaign was confirmation that the collective efforts of many can make a tangible, lasting impact for all in our community,” said David J. Bohan, Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer of The Valley Hospital Foundation. “Support for the campaign was record-breaking at Valley, both in total funds raised and the number of donors who contributed, a testament to the generosity of our community members. We are honored by the trust our friends and neighbors place in us to care for them and their loved ones – a responsibility we do not take lightly.”

The 370-bed, state-of-the-art hospital opened on April 14, 2024, and was built with patient safety, privacy, and a high-quality patient experience at the forefront. Key features of the hospital include spacious patient rooms; an expanded Emergency Department; an intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite and technologically advanced operating rooms; patient room footwalls with 75-inch televisions to display key patient details and entertainment options; expansive rooms for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients and their families; park-like grounds and sustainable green roofs; and the latest technology throughout the facility.

“The Valley Hospital is a healthcare destination for our entire region, and we are honored and humbled by the overwhelming generosity of our community members who saw a need for our leading-edge facility and enthusiastically put their philanthropic support behind it,” said Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President and CEO of Valley Health System. “Philanthropy has been a cornerstone throughout Valley’s history and enables us to continue to provide the very best care to our community for generations to come. We are so thankful to our community members for their ongoing generosity and their support of Valley’s next chapter in Paramus.”
