CarePlus NJ Honored at Englewood Police Department’s Awards Night for Life-Saving Crisis Response and Community Partnership
Englewood, NJ (June 16, 2025) — CarePlus NJ, a leading nonprofit provider of integrated mental health, substance use disorder, and primary care services, is proud to announce that several team members were recognized for their outstanding service during the City of Englewood Police Department’s Awards Night on May 14, 2025. These honors highlight the impactful work of the ARRIVE Together program and the strength of CarePlus NJ’s ongoing collaboration with law enforcement to support mental health crisis response.
Abraham Hache, ARRIVE Together Program Manager, received the Exceptional Merit Citation for his courageous and skilled efforts in de-escalating a dangerous encounter involving an individual armed with a knife. Since joining the Englewood Police Department's ARRIVE Together team in October 2023, no arrests have been made in the calls Hache has responded to. Instead, he can connect individuals with the proper treatment and/or support services to reduce repeat calls and increase safety. Hache received the award alongside Englewood Deputy Chief Matthew de la Rosa.
In addition, CarePlus Senior Vice President and Bergen County CIT Mental Health Coordinator Amie Del Sordo, Vice President Lisa Montuore, and Hache were awarded the Raymond J. Greely Chief’s Award for their leadership and dedication in successfully launching and advancing the ARRIVE Together program in Englewood. The program pairs police officers with mental health professionals to respond to behavioral health emergencies, ensuring individuals in crisis receive appropriate care and support.
“We are incredibly proud of our team and grateful for the strong partnership with the Englewood Police Department,” said Brigitte Johnson, President and CEO of CarePlus NJ. “These awards underscore the importance of compassionate crisis intervention and the power of collaboration in keeping our communities safe.”
