The Valley Hospital Awarded Disease-Specific Care Reaccreditation from The Joint Commission
PARAMUS, NJ, July 14, 2025 – The Valley Hospital is proud to have received reaccreditation by The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care (DSC) certification program for disease-specific care in total hip and total knee replacement.
This recertification recognizes Valley’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety for those undergoing total hip and total knee replacement procedures. Reaccreditation confirms Valley’s ability to meet standards in medication management, diabetes care and participation in performance measurement and data collection.
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help healthcare organizations measure, assess, and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
