Backpacks & Brighter Tomorrows: School Supply Drive for local Boys & Girls Clubs across Northern NJ supported by Citi volunteers
As part of its 20th annual Citi Global Community Day, Citi volunteers supported New Jersey Boys & Girls Clubs in their local back-to-school initiatives aimed at easing the financial strain many families face at the start of the academic year.
Volunteers assembled backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students in grades Pre-K through 12, helping them start the 2025–2026 school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.
Citi donated 1,500 fully stocked backpacks to select Boys & Girls Clubs across New Jersey, including locations in Newark, Paterson, Passaic, Jersey City, Hoboken, and Clifton. These backpacks were distributed throughout the state, ensuring students in underserved communities are equipped for the classroom and beyond.
