YWCA Northern New Jersey Hosts Coffee Café Conversations Open House to Support Underemployed Women on Their Path to Economic Independence
(December 2, 2025) Clifton, NJ — YWCA Northern New Jersey (YWCANNJ) will host Coffee Café Conversations Open House on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at its Clifton office located at 1373 Broad Street, Room 306A.
This free, community-centered event invites women across northern New Jersey to connect with career coaches, employers, and peers while exploring job-readiness resources and workforce development opportunities. Registration is required, and space is limited. Attendees can sign up at: YWCANNJCoffeeCafeConvo.eventbrite.com.
The open house is part of the Next Chapter Program, a core component of the Women of the Workforce Equity Initiative, YWCANNJ’s signature effort supporting unemployed and underemployed women on their path to economic stability and long-term career success.
Next Chapter provides women with job coaching, career counseling, case management support, and access to workforce specialists who help participants set goals, build confidence, and develop individualized career plans. The program offers ongoing guidance, accountability, and access to resources that support each woman’s workforce journey – culminating in an annual Spring Career Expo, which connects participants directly with recruiters and real-time hiring opportunities.
Other programs under the Women of the Workforce umbrella include the YW WE360° Business Essentials Program, YW Tech Lab, and Know Your Employee Rights, each designed to support women at different stages of their employment and entrepreneurial journeys.
“We know that when women are empowered to take control of their careers, their families and communities thrive,” said Helen Archontou, CEO, YWCA Northern New Jersey. “Next Chapter provides the tools, coaching, and encouragement women need to move forward with confidence.”
Attendees of the Coffee Café Conversations Open House will have access to dedicated networking circles, mini-sessions for vision boards, LinkedIn and résumé tips, workforce readiness insights and employer connections while enjoying coffee and light refreshments. Additionally, YWCANNJ veteran and reentry program team members will be on site to provide specialized support to attendees with those lived experiences.
