NY WATERWAY LAUNCHES NEW NYC GOLDEN HOUR SUNSET CRUISES BEGINNING MAY 21
Inaugural $15 special priced tickets on sale for May 21 - May 31
Weehawken, NJ (May 20, 2026) -- NY Waterway, which operates the largest ferry fleet between New Jersey and New York, announced today the launch of its new NYC Golden Hour Cruises beginning May 21. The daily 2-hour evening cruises will depart every night at 7:00 p.m. from Pier 78, located at 12th Ave and West 38th Street, behind the Javits Center.
The live guided evening tours will provide breathtaking sunset views of Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey skylines and showcase world-famous landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, Governors Island, the Brooklyn Bridge and more. Riders will enjoy the summer air and beautiful sunsets with comfortable top-deck seating accompanied by summer music, with cocktails and snacks available for purchase aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt, a 109-Foot Catamaran.

For people in New Jersey looking to avoid driving into the city, for only $10 more, NY Waterway is offering discounted Ferry-Tour Combo Tickets, which include reduced price (over 50% discount) round-trip ferry tickets between New Jersey (Port Imperial or Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken, or Hoboken 14th St. ferry terminals) and the Midtown West 39th St. & 12 Ave. ferry terminal, together with Harbor Tour tickets.
NY Waterway also provides free multi-route shuttles throughout Manhattan, to and from the Midtown W39th ferry terminal which is directly next door to the Pier 78 tour departures via West 57th, West 50th, West 42nd, West 34th Streets and Downtown (12th Avenue) routes. The free shuttle buses can be tracked in real-time on the free NY Waterway App.
Affordable indoor parking is available at Port Imperial Weehawken, and NJ TRANSIT rail and bus connections are available at Port Imperial, Hoboken NJ TRANSIT and Paulus Hook in Jersey City.
