On October 29, 2023, Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey hosted a day of financial literacy workshops for 120 Girl Scouts at its Jockey Hollow Camp in Mendham, N.J. Representatives from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management volunteered their time to attend the workshops and sponsored the event so girls could attend free of charge. Girl Scouts earned badges tailored to their Girl Scout level and learned skills such as budgeting, saving, money habits and financial planning. (November 28, 2023; Hackensack, New Jersey) – The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) joined more than 1,000 community foundations nationwide to celebrate National Community Foundation Week. During the week, the NNJCF, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, announced $53,803 in grant and scholarship awards were made in 2023. These grants and scholarships were recommended by a Grants Committee and reviewed and approved by the NNJCF’s Board of Trustees.
