The Valley Hospital Foundation announces $100 million fundraising milestone for campaign in support of The Valley Hospital in Paramus

Ridgewood, NJ, May 17, 2022 — The Valley Hospital Foundation has announced that it has surpassed the $100 million fundraising milestone in support of The Valley Hospital in Paramus. Launched in September 2021, the Foundation’s $125 million campaign, Serve. Care. Transform. The Next Chapter of The Valley Hospital, is scheduled to run through 2024.

“Every gift in support of The Valley Hospital in Paramus has an impact,” said David Bohan, Vice President and Chief Development Officer, The Valley Hospital Foundation. “Through their gifts, our donors send a strong message that this project is essential in serving the healthcare needs of the community for generations to come.”

Set to open in 2023, progress continues at the site of the new hospital. With the exterior close to completion, attention is now focused on the interior elements that will include the latest advances in healthcare while retaining Valley’s renowned personal touch. "Since 1951, Valley has played a critical role in our region, and thanks to the generosity of Valley supporters, will continue to do so with The Valley Hospital in Paramus, which has been designed with our patients and their families in mind,” said Audrey Meyers, President and CEO of Valley Health System.

Single-patient rooms in the new hospital will enhance patient privacy, safety, and comfort, including innovative technology that streamlines care and puts the patient experience at the forefront. With a design focused on sustainability, best practices in energy efficiency, space utilization, water conservation and the use of natural light have all been incorporated.

“As we enter this exciting stage of the project, we are grateful for the philanthropic commitments that have been an integral part of the Serve. Care. Transform campaign’s success thus far. During today’s fundraising campaigns, the majority of supporting gifts come from members of the community and grateful patients who value and appreciate having a first-class healthcare destination close to home. We look forward to continuing to work with supporters to meet and exceed our $125 million goal and bring this important project to fruition,” said Bohan.
