It’s True: Bergen Hosts Neil Simon’s Rumors

PARAMUS, N.J. – The Bergenstages theatre troupe will present Neil Simon’s “Rumors” next month in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre at the Bergen Community College main campus in Paramus (400 Paramus Road).

The story centers around the accidental shooting of New York City’s deputy mayor. Though only a flesh wound, confusion and miscommunication among the characters mounts, driving them into a full-fledged tailspin of comedy.

Performances take place Friday, Dec. 2; Saturday, Dec. 3; Thursday, Dec. 8; Friday, Dec. 9; Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will take place Saturday, Dec. 3 and Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (, a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst.
