Paramus, N.J. – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, the Board of County Commissioners, and the Bergen County Parks Department are excited to announce that the Bergen County Zoo will host the 2nd Annual Alfred Thomas Wildlife Art Exhibition on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Van Saun County Park.
The art exhibition will showcase “animal/wildlife themed artwork” including paintings, drawings, watercolors, photography, and mixed media from 50 local Bergen County artists and feature an afternoon of bluegrass music from the Cider Barn Band (performing noon to 2:30 p.m.).
Artists interested in participating in the 2nd Annual Alfred Thomas Wildlife Art Exhibition should email email@example.com to inquire about space availability. Showcased artwork will be entered into judged contest to receive the following prizes:
1st Place – $400
2nd Place – $300
3rd Place – $200
Honorable Mention – $100
Participating artists must be age 17 or older.
Partial funding for this event is through the Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs with funds made possible in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Van Saun County Park is a wheelchair accessible site.
