Allendale Rehab & Healthcare Honors “Employee of the Year”

ALLENDALE, N.J. (Nov. 1, 2023) — Staff and leadership at Allendale Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center delighted in honoring “Employee of the Year” recipient Simonetta Clement, LPN, at a recent celebratory lunch. Located at 85 Harreton Road in Allendale, the 299-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

Clement has been in the skilled nursing industry for 25 years, including a decade working as a nurse. For her, caring for others is all in the family. Clement was inspired by close family members who are nurses to go into healthcare and never looked back. At Allendale, Clement is a unit nurse, and her wide range of specialties include tracheotomy and IV care.

“Simonetta is an outstanding nurse and well deserving of this award,” said Kani Burgos, regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility. “She goes above and beyond on a daily basis, and her positivity and great attitude shine through. Allendale’s entire team was thrilled to celebrate her and the team spirit she engenders here.”

The skilled nursing facility’s “Employee of the Year” recognition program has been in place for 20 years. An average of 24 employees are nominated annually. At the award luncheon for Clement, Allendale honored her with a special uniform and badge, as well as three extra vacation days and a gift card. Previous accolades for Clement include “Employee of the Month” honors and leadership and training awards.

“I look forward to coming here every day to work with my incredibly supportive team, care for our patients and residents, and interact with their family members, too,” said Clement. “I particularly love the challenge of clinically complex patients and helping improve their quality of life.”

Clement, who resides in East Orange, is known for her strong work ethic and prides herself on providing only the highest quality of nursing care. “Allendale has always been very supportive of me as I balanced full-time work and my family life as a single mother of three,” noted Clement.
