Three Valley Health System Leaders Receive New Jersey INNOVATE100 Leader Honors

PARAMUS, NJ, May 15, 2024 – Valley Health System congratulates Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President of Valley Health System; Eric Carey, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Valley Health System; and Suneet Mittal, MD, Chair of the Cardiovascular Service Line for Valley Health System, on being selected as New Jersey INNOVATE100 leader honorees by Innovation+.

Innovation+ defines its organization as a “curated community of engaged entrepreneurs and innovators.” The New Jersey Innovate100 celebrates leaders across various sectors for their innovation in their respective fields.

Honorees were celebrated on Tuesday, May 14, at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, hosted in partnership with New Jersey Business and Industry Associate (NJBIA) and Middlesex County. This inaugural initiation was designed to showcase New Jersey’s innovation leaders, as well as collaboration among organizations and companies.

“It is only through sustained and visionary leadership that innovation can thrive in both good times and bad. That is why we didn’t simply honor CEOs, presidents, and heads, but also their colleagues who drive innovation throughout companies and organizations,” James Barrood, Founder and CEO of Innovation+ told New Jersey Business Magazine. “We’ve also elevated the community leaders in our great state. They are the catalysts who make things happen.”

When asked what innovation means to them and for Valley, the honorees said:

“Thank you to Innovation+ for this distinction,” said Dr. Brenner. “Innovation for Valley is implementing novel ideas that advance care for our patients, whether through technology or new processes to enhance efficiencies.”

“Innovation to me means developing and implementing systems of practice to ensure delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered, team-directed healthcare within our cardiovascular service line, as well as the health system,” said Dr. Mittal.

“Adapting the latest technology to advance patient care is part of the innovation implemented at Valley,” said Eric. “In our new facility, we have introduced Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), artificial intelligence (AI), smart beds, interactive patient experience systems, and other state-of-the-art technologies.”
