CarePlus NJ Expands Operations With Walk-In Centers to Provide Immediate Mental Health Care in Bergen and Essex Counties

Expanded Open Access Walk-In Centers in Bloomfield and Rochelle Park Provide Same-Day Mental Health and Addiction Services

Paramus, N.J. (April 09, 2025) – CarePlus NJ, a leading nonprofit provider of integrated mental health, substance use disorder, and primary care services, announces the expansion of Open Access Mental Health Walk-In Centers in Bergen and Essex Counties. These centers provide immediate access to treatment for adults, children, and families experiencing worsening mental health and addiction-related symptoms.  

In Bergen County, the walk-in center is located at 365 W. Passaic Ave., Suite 115 in Rochelle Park, NJ and is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

In Essex County, services can be accessed at 650 Bloomfield Ave., Suite 106 in Bloomfield, NJ, and is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

CarePlus’ Open Access Walk-In Centers prioritize accessibility and comprehensive care to ensure that individuals and families can easily get the support they need. Services include: 

Rapid access to evaluation and linkage to psychiatric evaluation  

Individual and family therapy  

Crisis intervention services 

Medication monitoring 

Support for school-related and behavioral concerns 

Peer support and case management 

Referrals to specialized services.  

To receive services, individuals must bring insurance card(s), a list of current medications, contact information for medical and mental health providers, and any relevant treatment records.
