Game Design Academy, New Jersey’s first and only education center dedicated to teaching kids and teens how to design and build their own games—both digital and tabletop—has officially opened its doors just a short drive from Paramus.
At Game Design Academy, students explore their creativity through hands-on programs in:

2D and 3D video game development
Pixel art, character animation, and 3D sculpting
Level design, mechanics, and logic building
Storytelling through games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering
Founded by a game developer with over 20 years of experience and more than 20 published titles, the academy was created to inspire the next generation of designers, storytellers, and innovators. The mission is simple: empower young minds not just to play games, but to imagine, design, and bring their own ideas to life.
