Allendale Senior Living Resident Isabelle Magna Celebrates 102nd Birthday Inspiring Centenarian Honored by Residents and Staff

ALLENDALE, N.J. (March 10, 2026) – At 102 years young, Isabelle Magna is still turning heads. The Allendale Senior Living resident was recently honored with a festive birthday party – joined by staff and fellow residents – that celebrated the centenarian’s remarkable life filled with love, adventure and extraordinary talent.

Magna was born on Feb. 1, 1924, in Norwood, N.J. and from an early age showed a passion for the arts. As an only child, she was raised with all the love her parents could give. She took singing and dancing lessons in New York and eagerly participated in school performances. Her mother was a talented dressmaker and created Magna’s costumes for every show.

Magna’s talent carried her to many stages around the world. Performing under the stage name “Judy Martini,” she sang in nightclubs and theaters, on cruise ships and even for soldiers during World War II. While performing on a cruise ship, she met her future husband, Russell, with whom she lived a beautiful life. An avid traveler, Magna traveled to 40 countries, embracing culture and adventure along the way, and capturing amazing memories through photography.

A lifelong love of dance inspired Magna to open her own dance studio in Hawthorne, N.J., where she took pride in helping her students shine. When not performing, Magna was actively involved in the Women’s Propeller Club, where she served as president. Under her leadership, the organization raised valuable scholarship funds for 50 years. Magna remained vibrant and active well into retirement. In her nineties she was still traveling, bowling and pursuing her love of photography. “Isabelle’s warmth, caring nature and beautiful smile brighten our days,” said Gitana Garbich, specialty program director at Allendale Senior Living. “She is a wonderful part of the Allendale community, and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with her.”
