Experience NJ Sharing Network’s Lifesaving Mission: Open House Set for April 1

New Providence, NJ – NJ Sharing Network (NJSN), recently named NJBIZ’s 2024 Nonprofit Business of the Year, invites community members, healthcare professionals, and supporters of organ and tissue donation and transplantation to attend a special Open House on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at its state-of-the-art headquarters – 691 Central Avenue, New Providence, NJ. Space is limited, and registration is required. Refreshments will be served. To sign up, visit www.NJSharingNetwork.org/openhouse.
This free Open House event will offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at the organization that has led New Jersey to an unprecedented six consecutive years of record growth in organ donation, with 743 organs transplanted in 2024 alone. With more than 3 million New Jerseyans registered as organ and tissue donors, NJSN’s lifesaving mission is fueled by a powerful wave of support, reflecting the generosity and compassion of the Garden State in giving the gift of life to others.
“Our Open House offers a rare opportunity for the community to connect with the heart of our mission and experience firsthand the incredible gift of life,” said Carolyn M. Welsh, President and CEO of NJSN. “Attendees will see how this generous gift changes lives, learn about the critical work our team and hospital partners do every day, and discover how they can get involved and make a difference.”
Attendees will see powerful visual tributes honoring organ and tissue donors and celebrating the lives they have saved. From the Wall of Remembrance, where the names of all organ donors in New Jersey since 1996 are etched onto the walls, to the Landscape of Life Memorial Garden, a serene outdoor space dedicated to the gift of life, every corner of the NJSN facility reflects the impact of donation. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view NJSN’s Transplant Laboratory, where critical crossmatching procedures are performed to ensure the compatibility of organs and tissue for transplant.
In addition to learning about NJSN’s role in the organ and tissue donation process, the Open House will highlight several opportunities for engagement:
