American Heart Association? certification recognizes efforts to promote a culture of health in independent and assisted living facilities

(PARAMUS, NJ) JANUARY 8, 2026 ― Juniper Village at Paramus has earned the Healthy Senior Living certification from the American Heart Association?, a global force changing the future of health for all. Certified communities are evaluated against the American Heart Association’s rigorous science-based standards for promoting cultures of health in independent and assisted living communities to help improve the health and quality of life for residents and to help consumers make better informed choices.

Certified communities are evaluated on how they help residents work toward improving their health related to smoking status, physical activity, healthy diet and weight, depression and anxiety, sleep, stress management, alcohol consumption and immunizations. The American Heart Association provides tools and resources to help these facilities develop a well-defined wellness program for residents.
