Bergen Gala Raises Over $200,000 for Scholarships


PARAMUS, N.J. – The Bergen Community College Foundation hosted its inaugural “Scholarship Gala” on December 3 at The Venetian in Garfield, raising more than $200,000 for student scholarships. Over 300 community leaders, elected officials, donors, faculty, staff, alumni and students attended the organization’s signature fundraising event that recognized Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Chair Kevin O’Toole, the Southpole Foundation and Dr. Hillel Ephros for their commitment to supporting education.

YCS Distributes 2,000+ Gifts to 1,000 At-Risk Children and Adults Across NJ


Youth Consultation Service (YCS), a leading nonprofit behavioral health and social services agency in New Jersey, collected more than 2,000 gifts during the YCS Foundation’s annual Secret Santa Toy Drive, distributing holiday presents to more than 1,000 at-risk children with special needs, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities served through 70 programs statewide.

NJCCC Recognizes Bergen’s Ranjan


PARAMUS, N.J. – The New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) recently recognized Bergen Community College Board of Trustees member Sheetal Ranjan, Ph.D., for her service as council chair for the past two years. She will officially conclude her tenure as chair this month. NJCCC President Aaron Fichtner, Ph.D., said Ranjan has indelibly impacted the more than 250,000 community college students in the state.
