New Students Plan Next Steps at Bergen Open House


PARAMUS, N.J. – Bergen Community College will host an open house for prospective students and their families on Thursday, November 13 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the institution’s main campus at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the College’s facilities, review associate degree and certificate options, meet with faculty and explore campus resources.

Bergen County Presents $119,571 Open Space Trust Fund Check to Borough of Closter for Ruckman Park Upgrades


HACKENSACK – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of County Commissioners, alongside Acting Bergen County Parks Director Craig Dorsett, proudly presented a $119,571 check to the Borough of Closter for improvements to Ruckman Park. The funding will go toward the installation of a new walkway surface, enhancing accessibility, safety, and overall enjoyment for residents and visitors.

Valley Health System Orthopaedic Residency Program Receives Accreditation


PARAMUS, NJ, October 21, 2025 – Valley Health System is proud to announce its Orthopaedic Residency Program has received accreditation by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). Faculty Pair Honored for Excellence


PARAMUS, N.J. – Bergen Community College professors Leigh Jonaitis, Ph.D., and Coleen Kennedy, Ph.D., have each received the 2025 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award for their commitment to teaching and student success. The pair travelled to NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin, Texas this summer to receive their awards.
