Hackensack Environmental Justice Alliance to Open with First Meeting of 2025


(Hackensack, New Jersey; December 17, 2024) – The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) invites the public to attend the Hackensack Environmental Justice Alliance’s (HEJA) first community meeting of the new year on Monday, January 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. The meeting takes place virtually via Zoom and in person with the location to be announced in the future. Admission is free.

Student Secures NJ Sharing Network Scholarship

December 17, 2024 – Saddle Brook, NJ – Table to Table, New Jersey’s first and largest food rescue nonprofit, has for the first time in its 25-year history added an airport to its food donor roster. Table to Table is rescuing a range of food, including ‘grab and go’ sandwiches, salads, and snacks from numerous HMSHost and Hudson locations within Newark Liberty International Airport.

The Community Chest Accepting Applications for Eighth Annual High School Young Women's Leadership Awards


(Eastern Bergen County, New Jersey; December 15, 2024) -- The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County is accepting applications for its eighth annual High School Young Women's Leadership Awards.  In 2025, three awards will be given to outstanding students identifying as female, enrolled in either their junior or senior years in high school, and residing and/or attending a public or private a high school in eastern Bergen County, New Jersey.

RRT N.A. Celebrates a Year of Service


Rapid Relief Team Ends 2024 with a Total of 58,000 Meals Served at 270 Events Across North America
[Ridgefield Park, NJ – December 5, 2024] – The Rapid Relief Team (RRT), the charitable arm of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC), celebrates the end of a banner year. In 2024, 2,675 RRT volunteers from 54 North American communities in 20 states gave 28,750 hours of their time, supported 270 unique events, and served a grand total of 58,000 meals.
