Honors Students Stacking Awards


PARAMUS, N.J. – Five current and alumni members of Bergen Community College’s Alpha Epsilon Phi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa - the honor society of two-year colleges - have secured awards during the spring semester. From scholarships to leadership positions and even a publishing credit, each of the students has made a lasting impression on the College, according to PTK and Honors Coordinator Anna Gergen.

Valley Health System to Host Cardiac Screening Event for Cancer Survivors


RIDGEWOOD, NJ, March 24, 2023 – Valley Health System is hosting a cardiac screening event for individuals 18 and older who have been treated for cancer or are currently undergoing treatment. The event will be held on Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Valley’s Robert and Audrey Luckow Pavilion, located at One Valley Health Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey.

BERGEN COUNTY HOSTS COUNTYWIDE OPEN HOUSE FOR SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM


Bergen County, NJ – Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III and the Board of Commissioners invite all residents age 60 and older to celebrate Bergen County’s Senior Nutrition Program, along with Older Americans Month, by visiting one of the County’s 23 Senior Activity Centers/Nutrition Sites for open houses at each location on Tuesday, May 16th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Earth Day Concert at West Side Presbyterian Church


RIDGEWOOD – Carla Auld and the UpTown Flutes will perform specially selected instrumental and choral works and readings in celebration of Earth Day at West Side Presbyterian Church on April 23 at 3:00 pm. The one-hour concert, which is free and open to the public, will include For the Beauty of the Earth by John Rutter and Il Gardellino by Antonio Vivaldi for flute and harpsichord.
