RIDE NY WATERWAY FERRIES TO AVOID HOLIDAY GIRDLOCK DECEMBER 16, 17 & 22


According to the NYC Department of Transportation, December 16, 17 and 22 are a Gridlock Alert Days in New York City. NY Waterway ferries avoid Manhattan gridlock throughout the Holiday Season, crossing the Hudson in less than 10 minutes. And for the holidays, Kids (under 12) ride free on NY Waterway through January 2. 

Ferries from Weehawken, Hoboken, Jersey City, Edgewater and Belford / Middletown to Midtown West 39th Street, with free connecting multi-route buses, are the best way to Macy’s, Rockefeller Center and many other Manhattan holiday destinations. Ferries also serve Brookfield Place/Battery Park City and Pier 11/Wall Street in Lower Manhattan.               

NY Waterway offers spacious terminals, fresh air cabins and open-air decks on its ferries. Masks are required in all indoor spaces and all facilities and boats are frequently sanitized.
