SERVICE ADVISORY: NY WATERWAY’S NEW YEAR’S EVE AND NEW YEAR’S DAY SCHEDULE
Modified service will run on December 31, with special service until 1:30am between Port Imperial and Midtown for Times Square revelers
Ferries will run only between Port Imperial and Midtown on January 1
NY Waterway will operate a modified weekday service on New Year’s Eve (Friday, December 31). While most service will run until mid-evening, NY Waterway will run special service between Port Imperial and Midtown until 1:30am for New Year’s Eve revelers, with ferries running every 20 minutes.
NY Waterway will run ferries only between Port Imperial and Midtown on New Year’s Day (Saturday, January 1).
New Year’s Eve Service (Friday, December 31):
Special ferry service for New Year’s Eve revelers will run between Port Imperial and Midtown. Ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with the first ferry from Port Imperial departing at 9am and the last ferry returning from Midtown departing at 1:30am.
Modified Midtown ferry service will run from Lincoln Harbor and Hoboken/14th Street to Midtown, with the last ferry departing Midtown at 9:30pm.
Modified Downtown ferry service will run from Hoboken/NJTRANSIT Terminal and Paulus Hook to Battery Park Place, with the last ferry departing Battery Park Place at 8pm.
NY Waterway shuttle bus service will run on its 42nd Street and 57th Street Midtown routes between 9:10am and approximately 6:10pm, when streets close for the Times Square celebration.
New Year’s Day Service (Saturday, January 1):
Only one route, Port Imperial to Midtown/West 39th Street will operate. Ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with the first ferry from Port Imperial departing at 9am and the last ferry returning from Midtown departing at 11:50pm.
NY Waterway shuttle bus service will run on its 42nd Street and 57th Street Midtown routes between 9:10am and 11:40pm.

Kids Ride Free for the Holidays through Sunday, January 2, 2022. Kids under 12 can ride on NY Waterway’s ferries for free on all routes. The ticketing policy for the service is: 2 children are permitted to ride free per each paying adult rider
