ConnectOne Bank Awards The Community Chest a Grant for Professional Development Series
(Eastern Bergen County, New Jersey; January 24, 2023) -- The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County announces the organization received a grant of $2,500 from ConnectOne Bank. The grant provides partial support for The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County's Professional Development Series.
The three-part series, which runs from February through April, offers nonprofit management and supervisory staff workshops on a range of topics, including adult mental health first aid, leadership and adapting to changing times quickly, and rethinking personnel management in a post-pandemic period.
"We thank ConnectOne Bank for their support of our Professional Development Series for nonprofit staff. The series will provide nonprofit managers and leaders with training to respond to clients' needs in a rapidly changing environment resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic," said Dr. Shelly Wimpfheimer, Executive Director, The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County.
ConnectOne Bank has participated in The Chest's activities and events. The ConnectOne Bank Community Connections Team Building Event created benches, planter boxes, craft artwork and blankets and presented them to The Chest to give to non-profit organizations that could use them. In 2018, the company was recognized for its involvement in the community and received the Champion Award at The Chest's annual gala.
