The Travel & Adventure Show Series Concludes the 2024 Season with a Record-Breaking Year and Successful New Market Launch
This Year’s Show Series Boasted over 1,400 Exhibitors and 120,000 Attendees Across 9 Markets

NEW YORK (April 23, 2024) - The Travel & Adventure Show Series concluded its 2024 season last month with America’s Favorite Travel Show making its way across 9 cities including: Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington DC, Dallas, the Bay Area, and, new to the Series, Phoenix. As travel demand recovered to pre-pandemic levels, the shows saw record attendance with travelers eager to learn about new destinations, take advantage of unbeatable on-the-show-floor deals and receive expert travel advice from numerous travel experts and celebrities Rick Steves, Andrew McCarthy, Peter Greenberg and host of Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil,” Phil Rosenthal.
This year’s shows saw record attendance as US travelers signaled they will continue to prioritize the experience of traveling and seeing the world.
For the first time ever, the Travel & Adventure Show made its way to Phoenix for its debut year at the Phoenix Convention Center. Nearly 9,000 attendees made their way out to the inaugural Phoenix Show where they got to meet with representatives from over 250 local and international exhibitors, such as main show sponsors Tourism Fiji and Go Touch Down Travel & Tours. Highlights of the show include keynotes from travel experts Andrew McCarthy and Peter Greenberg and a greenscreen photo booth from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Chicago’s longest-running travel show returned this year to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center with Rick Steves’ Europe, Visit Loudoun and South African Tourism as headline sponsors. The show welcomed over 16,000 attendees and more than 350 exhibitors for an exciting weekend of travel inspiration. New this year, the Chicago Show welcomed the LGBQT Pavilion featuring an array of LGBTQ-friendly destinations, tour operators and travel agencies.
The New York Travel & Adventure Show returned for its third year to the Javits Convention Center where a sold-out show hit record attendance numbers welcoming over 24,000 attendees. Highlights of the show included keynote sessions from Phil Rosenthal and Rick Steves, as well as the return of the popular LGBTQ+ Travel Pavilion, sponsored by South African Tourism, Visit Fort Lauderdale, Spain and Travel Guard.
The Los Angeles Show marked its 19th-year with a record-breaking 17,000+ attendees making their way to the Los Angeles Convention Center to hear from Phil Rosenthal, the host of Netflix's “Somebody Feed Phil” and Frommer’s Guidebooks’ editorial director, Pauline Frommer. This year’s show featured sponsors from across the globe including Visit Brasil, Japan Tourism Bureau and Mexico Tourism, to name a few. The event also featured a rock wall sponsored by Visit Yosemite Madera County.
The Denver Travel & Adventure Show welcomed over 10,000 attendees and saw over 250 exhibitors including main sponsors Atlas Ocean Voyages and Go Touch Down Travel & Tours. Over the course of the weekend audiences packed out the Travel Theater to see keynote speakers Andrew McCarthy, Pauline Frommer, Peter Greenberg and Angel Castellanos.
The Washington DC Travel & Adventure Show held at the Washington Convention Center welcomed over 15,000 attendees and boasted over 250 exhibitors. This event featured Currituck Outer Banks Tourism as the Official Photo Booth Sponsor and new this year, welcome the LGBTQ Pavilion, as well as the Dive & Water Sports Pavilion for the first time on the show floor.
The Atlanta Travel & Adventure Show saw over 8,000 attendees make their way to the Cobb Galleria Centre to meet with more than 200 exhibitors and start planning their trips for 2024 and beyond. Hundreds of attendees of the Atlanta Show took advantage of the Official Passport Program, operated by the Atlanta Passport Office and the Department of State, which offered consumers a rare opportunity to get quick and easy passport applications over the weekend.
Over 9,000 attendees made their way to Dallas Market Hall for the Dallas Travel & Adventure Show concluding another successful year for the Travel & Adventure Show Series. In Dallas attendees had a chance to meet with representatives from main sponsors AAA, MSC Cruises, Tourism Fiji and The Mexican Caribbean. In total, the show saw over 250 exhibitors, many of whom offered up unbeatable deals for Travel Show attendees and enticing giveaways to some of the most exciting destinations in the world.
