HUDSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE CRAIG GUY DELIVERS REMARKS AND CELEBRATES FLEET WEEK 2024 IN LINCOLN PARK WEST

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Today, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy delivered remarks and celebrated Fleet Week 2024 in Lincoln Park West in support of first responders and members of our armed forces, including the United States Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard.

“During Fleet Week, Hudson County thanks every service member for their service and commitment to our country. And as we approach Memorial Day, we must never forget those who died defending our country. Lincoln Park itself serves as a remembrance of our fallen brethren and honors those that fought and died in the Civil War,” said County Executive Guy. “Today, servicemembers spoke to Hudson County students about why they chose careers in public service. Serving in the armed forces can help shape your life by providing training for skills in healthcare, engineering, human resources, and much, much more.”

Since 2021, Hudson County has hosted Fleet Week celebrations to honor the courage and patriotism of our armed forces and encourage young residents to explore career opportunities within the armed forces. Hudson County residents enjoyed the day’s activities including speakers from the County and the Marines, aircraft displays, performances, and recruitment tables for young adults.
