Valley Health System Chief Information Officer Recognized on the “Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know” List Presented by Becker’s Hospital Review
PARAMUS, NJ, August 22, 2024 – Valley Health System is pleased to announce that Eric Carey, Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Valley Health System, has been recognized on the “Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know 2024” list presented by Becker’s Hospital Review. Carey is one of 133 chief information officers to be recognized.
According to Becker’s, the leaders featured on the “Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know 2024” list are tasked with implementing information technology (IT) strategies, integrating technologies, expanding telehealth, enhancing cybersecurity, and more. The list honors CIOs for their dedication to improving healthcare through IT. Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations for this list.
As CIO of Valley Health System, Eric is responsible for the information systems and telecommunication services across Valley Health System, which includes The Valley Hospital, Valley Home Care, and Valley Medical Group. This includes all services from infrastructure through to end-user customer service, via a 24/7 service desk. Most recently, Eric was largely involved with the design of The Valley Hospital, which opened at its new location in Paramus, New Jersey, in April. The hospital is a “smart hospital” featuring the latest technology and artificial intelligence.
