FREE GOLF FOR BERGEN VETERANS & SERVICE MEMBERS IN HONOR OF VETERANS DAY

Veterans and service members can receive one free round of golf at any county-operated golf course

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, the Board of County Commissioners, the County Parks Department, and the County’s Division of Veteran Services announce that all Bergen County veterans and active-duty service members can enjoy a free round of golf at any of the County’s six golf courses from Monday, November 11th to Friday, November 15th.

“Honoring our veterans and service members is one of the most important commitments we can make,” said County Executive Jim Tedesco. “Providing a free round of golf is a small gesture of our gratitude for their sacrifices and service to protect our freedoms. We hope this opportunity offers a moment of relaxation and enjoyment to those who have given so much to our nation. On behalf of the entire Bergen County community, I extend my deepest thanks to all active-duty members and veterans—you have our unwavering respect and appreciation.”

“Freedom comes at a cost, paid for by the sacrifices of the courageous men and women who serve in our armed forces. As a small expression of gratitude, Bergen County is proud to offer free golf to all veterans and service members this week,” said Bergen County Commissioner Steven Tanelli. “This gesture serves as a reminder of the unity and support that strengthen our communities.”

To enjoy this opportunity, veterans and active-duty service members must be residents of Bergen County. Veterans and active-duty service members can reserve a tee-time for up to four golfers but golfers accompanying the reservation who are not active-duty or a veteran must pay full price.

To guarantee a tee-time, Bergen County veterans and active-duty military can make an “early-access” reservation by calling the County’s Division of Golf in advance at 201-336-2759 from Monday, October 28th through Friday, November 1st, during normal business hours (8am – 3pm). Reservation availability may be limited after Friday, November 1st. When making an “early-access” reservation, Bergen County veterans and active-duty military members will be asked for the following information:
