Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County to Host a 75th Anniversary Celebration

[Bergen County, N.J.] — Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County proudly celebrates their 75 years of service and impact. They are proud to have provided 75 years of support to children and families in Lodi, Hackensack, Wallington, and at the South Bergen Jointure Commission in Maywood.

Join them for an exciting and inspirational evening on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:30PM to 11:30PM, at Elan Catering & Events in Lodi, for their 75th Anniversary Celebration event.

The event includes appetizers, dinner, open bar, dessert, a brief program, and live entertainment by the Sensational Soul Cruisers! Tickets are $95 each. Incorporated in 1949, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County provides a safe place of inclusion for children and teens to go during the critical out of school hours, where they participate in life-enhancing programs, learn life skills, receive academic support and mentoring, have a free healthy meal, and more.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County provides members with access to life-changing opportunities and real-world experiences that they may not have access to outside of their programs.  Currently, the BGCLBC operates ten comprehensive out of school time programs at their Clubhouses in Lodi and Hackensack, and  school-based sites at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Lodi, at Hackensack Middle School and all four elementary schools in Hackensack, in Wallington for middle schoolers at Wallington Jr. & Sr. High School, and at the South Bergen Jointure Commission’s Maywood Campus School, which serves exclusively youth with special needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.

The BGCLBC strives to make a positive impact in the areas of Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles, their three Priority Outcome Areas. They do so through programs like Power Hour, their daily homework help and tutoring program, Full STEAM Ahead, their comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics program, Triple Play, their daily health, wellness, and fitness program, Mentoring, which matches youth in need of a positive role model with a trained adult mentor, and Keystone Club, their teen leadership and civic service Club. The BGCLBC also provides services such as Social Emotional Learning & Trauma Informed Care, provided by their full-time licensed social worker and free healthy snacks or meals to members daily In 2023, they provided nearly 93,000!
