CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: 2025 Bergen County Historic Preservation Awards Deadline: Friday, March 21, 2025
(HACKENSACK, NJ) – The Bergen County Historic Preservation Advisory Board is calling for nominations of honorees for the 2025 Bergen County Historic Preservation Awards.
Since 1982, more than 300 awards have been presented in honor of outstanding historic preservation achievements by individuals, students, organizations, and businesses. These awards were created to encourage preservation, restoration and adaptive use of Bergen County’s valuable and irreplaceable historic buildings, houses, schools, houses of worship, cemeteries, and other historic sites.
Achievements are recognized in several History and Historic Preservation categories, including restoration projects, educational programs or publications, community leadership, etc.
The deadline for nominations is March 21st. Information about the categories and criteria, together with the nomination form, are available on the Bergen County website at https://www.co.bergen.nj.us/cultural-historic-affairs/historic-preservation-awards.
Winners will be honored at the 2025 Bergen County Historic Preservation Awards, scheduled for Thursday, May 8th at 7pm.
