New Family Film Series and More Launching at the Barrymore Film Center April 2


New Programming for Families, Seniors, Special Needs Audiences, and Film Enthusiasts

[Fort Lee, NJ - March 28, 2025] – The Barrymore Film Center announces the launch of several new film series designed to engage a diverse range of audiences. Beginning with It Happened One Night as part of its new Coffee and Classics series April 2, the Center is offering an expanded slate of dedicated programming, including family-friendly screenings, classic films, cult favorites, and sensory-friendly experiences.

As part of this initiative, the Barrymore Film Center is introducing:

Family Film Series (Saturdays at 10am) – Storytime with the Fort Lee Public Library, screen-and-sing musicals, Saturday morning cartoons, and more.

Coffee & Classics (First Wednesday of each month at 10am) – Classic films paired with complimentary coffee and pastries.

Film Noir (First Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm) – A deep dive into the thrilling and stylish world of film noir.

Sensory-Friendly Screenings (Second Wednesday of each month at 10am) – A relaxed movie experience with adjusted sound and lighting, designed for all ages and sensory sensitivities.

Cult Classics & Silent Classics (Monthly) – A chance to experience iconic cult films and timeless silent masterpieces.

The Barrymore Film Center, located in Fort Lee, continues to honor its legacy as a hub for film lovers. With these latest programming additions, the center aims to bring audiences together through the power of storytelling on the big screen. “Our goal is to make a visit to the theater more than just watching a film,” says Executive Director Nina Larson. “We’re creating cinematic experiences you won’t find anywhere else.” Through interactive elements, themed screenings, and an inviting atmosphere, the Barrymore Film Center aims to transform movie-going into a memorable and immersive event that brings audiences closer to the art of cinema. “The Barrymore Film Center remains committed to celebrating the magic of cinema while fostering an inclusive and engaging environment for our community,” says Joanne Cimiluca, President of the Barrymore Film Center Board of Trustees. “These new series provide something for everyone, from families and seniors to film aficionados seeking unique and storied experiences.”
