Daily Midtown departures begin March 28


Weehawken, NJ (March 4) -- NY Waterway, which operates the largest ferry fleet between New Jersey and New York, announced that it is launching NY Waterway Harbor Tours, daily guided tours that will offer passengers breathtaking on-water views and fascinating insights from expert tour guides into New York City’s most iconic landmarks and spectacular skyline. Beginning Saturday, March 28, the 80-minute NY Waterway Harbor Tours will take passengers around New York Harbor and the lower Hudson River, providing unobstructed views of world-famous landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Brooklyn Bridge, Freedom Tower and more. Led by informative tour guides who will provide commentary and historical facts, the five daily tours will feature comfortable top-deck seating and snacks and bar service aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt, a 109-Foot Catamaran.

Tours will depart daily from Pier 78 at 12th Ave & W37th Street in Manhattan (behind the Javits Center and next door to the Midtown Ferry Terminal) beginning March 28.

For people in New Jersey looking to avoid driving into the city, for only $10 more, NY Waterway is offering discounted Ferry-Tour Combo Tickets, which include reduced price (over 50% discount) round-trip ferry tickets between New Jersey (Port Imperial or Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken, or Hoboken 14th St. ferry terminals) and the Midtown W39th St. ferry terminal, together with Harbor Tour tickets.

NY Waterway also provides free multi-route shuttles throughout Manhattan, to and from the Midtown W39th ferry terminal which is directly next door to the Pier 78 tour departures.

Affordable indoor parking is available at Port Imperial Weehawken, and NJ TRANSIT rail and bus connections are available at Port Imperial, Hoboken NJ TRANSIT and Paulus Hook in Jersey City.
