Allendale Rehab & Healthcare Celebrates Grand Reopening, Debuting New Subacute Care Wing and Leadership
State-of-the-Art Gym Among Modernization Highlights
ALLENDALE, N.J. (March 3, 2026) — Allendale Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Bergen County celebrated the completion of a million-dollar renovation with a Grand Reopening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The skilled nursing facility’s modernization features a new, dedicated subacute wing with a state-of-the-art rehab therapy gym – directed by Neil Javed, MD, the center’s recently appointed subacute medical director.
The Allendale team was joined by leadership from Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the center, and local dignitaries, healthcare partners and staff at the invitation-only open house event. Allendale Mayor Amy Wilczynski and members of the Borough Council led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Subacute represents a comprehensive, high level of care for patients with active illnesses, injuries or complex medical conditions following – or as an alternative to – a hospital stay. Allendale’s new subacute care wing features upgraded patient suites and an expansive rehab therapy gym with state-of-the-art equipment and other technology to support the delivery of progressive rehab services. The gym incorporates an activities of daily living (ADL) suite that mimics a home environment with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom – enabling patients the opportunity to regain skills before returning home.

Dr. Javed is an experienced and respected hospitalist. Board certified in family medicine, he is affiliated with Valley Hospital.
