NY WATERWAYS NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Kids Ride Free for the Holidays extended through January 2nd

NY Waterway will operate a modified service on December 31, January 1 and January 2. NJ Shuttle bus will not operate on January 1 and January 2. 

New Year’s Eve (Saturday, December 31): Later Service between Port Imperial and Midtown

Weehawken/Port Imperial – Midtown/W39th ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with first ferries departing Port Imperial at 8am and last ferries departing Midtown at 1:30am. 

All other ferries will run on a normal weekend schedule. 

Midtown Manhattan shuttle bus service will run between 8:10 am and 6:00pm. Midtown bus services will operate until the streets are closed for New Year’s Eve activities. 

New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1): Only 2 ferry routes will operate 

Weehawken/Port Imperial to Midtown/W39th ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with first ferries departing Port Imperial at 9am and last ferries departing Midtown at 10:50pm. 

Lincoln Harbor and Hoboken 14th Street to Midtown ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with first ferries departing Lincoln Harbor at 9:55am and last ferries departing Midtown at 9:30pm.  

Midtown Manhattan shuttle bus service will run between 9:10 am and 10:10pm

No NJ shuttle bus service 

Monday, January 2: Only 3 ferry routes will operate 

Weehawken/Port Imperial – Midtown ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with first ferries departing Port Imperial at 8am and last ferries departing Midtown at 10:50pm. 

Lincoln Harbor and Hoboken 14th Street to Midtown ferries will depart every 20 minutes, with first ferries departing Lincoln Harbor at 9:55am and last ferries departing Midtown at 9:30pm.  

Hoboken/NJT and Paulus Hook to Brookfield Place ferries will run every 30 minutes, with first ferries departing Hoboken at 10am and last ferries departing Brookfield Place at 8pm.

Midtown Manhattan shuttle bus service will run between 8:10am and 10:10pm. 

No NJ shuttle bus service

Kids Ride Free for the Holidays is extended through January 2, 2023. Kids under 12 can ride on NY Waterway’s ferries for free on all routes. Two children are permitted to ride free per each paying adult rider.
