Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services Welcomes Karen Kaufman as Director of Marketing and Communications


Union, N.J. (June 25, 2025) - Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services (Bridgeway), a leading community-based provider supporting individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges, announces the hiring of Karen Kaufman, M.A., as Director of Marketing and Communications.
Kaufman brings more than 30 years of experience in marketing, communications, and public relations to her new role. As a member of Bridgeway’s leadership team, she will lead strategic communications efforts to elevate the organization’s brand, engage key stakeholders, and advance mission-driven initiatives.

Before joining Bridgeway, Kaufman served in senior leadership roles at several regional, national, and international nonprofit organizations. Notably, she led marketing and communications for the IEEE Foundation, the philanthropic partner of IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization, where she played a key role in launching major awareness and fundraising campaigns. She has also held strategic communications roles in the education and human services sectors and is known for building cross-sector partnerships, implementing integrated marketing strategies, strengthening brand awareness, and effectively communicating organizational impact to diverse audiences.
Kaufman earned both her master’s degree in corporate public relations and her bachelor’s degree in communications from Rowan University, where she developed a strong foundation in strategic storytelling and mission-driven messaging. A passionate advocate for inclusion, mental health awareness, and community empowerment, she is dedicated to amplifying stories of resilience, elevating underrepresented voices, and driving positive change through effective communication.
