NJCCC Honors Bergen Leader’s “Spirit” with Award


PARAMUS, N.J. – For the second consecutive year, the New Jersey Council of County Colleges has recognized a Bergen Community College leader with one of the organization’s top honors. This year, Bergen’s Tracy Rand, the senior director of student access and transition services, received the “Spirit Award” recognizing her “above and beyond” service to community college students.

MENTORS IN MEDIA INITIATIVE WITH iHEARTMEDIA TURNS UP THE VOLUME FOR BERKELEY COLLEGE APPLIED MEDIA STUDENTS


Berkeley College students pursuing degrees in Applied Media and Marketing recently rocked the airwaves thanks to an experiential learning opportunity with iHeartMedia New York. Through the Mentors in Media initiative, students toured the iHeartMedia facilities in New York City, interacted with media professionals, and shadowed radio personalities during live broadcasts. This practicum offered students a behind-the-scenes look at potential careers in media, marketing, and communications careers.

Shavuot Celebration Brings Together Over 40 Young Families for a Day of Joy and Connection


More than 40 young families came together on a beautiful, sunny day to celebrate the holiday of Shavuot at a special gathering hosted at Abma’s Farm and Petting Zoo in Wyckoff. The event was part of the JCC of Northern NJ’s J on the Go initiative—programming specifically designed for families raising young Jewish children (from birth to age 8).

Wegmans’ annual Fill the Bus/Fill the Backpack scan campaign aims to help food banks ensure kids have access to adequate food during school breaks. 
Wegmans’ companywide Fill the Bus/Fill the Backpack scan campaign begins June 4.
Customers can donate $3, $5, or any amount at checkout.
100% of the proceeds go to each store’s local Feeding America food bank to help stock summer, school break, and weekend feeding programs.
